In Vitro assessment of interaction between lidocaine hydrochloride and irrigating solutions on root canal dentin: A scanning electron microscope study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Aim: To investigate the precipitate formed from interaction between 2% lidocaine hydrochloride with adrenaline (LA) 2.5% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and 0.2% chitosan nanoparticles on root canal dentin, using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Material Methods: Sixty mandibular premolars were decoronated, length standardised. The specimens randomly distributed into following groups: Group 1 (control): LA mixed sterile water without instrumentation, 2: NaOCl in 3: instrumentation. Teeth split subjected to SEM analysis at cervical, middle, apical thirds. On observing formation 2, 10 decoronated treated Results: 3 showed patent dentinal tubules no formation. 2 blocking all three sections, could not be removed completely after cleaning shaping. Conclusion: forms an insoluble local anaesthetic solution that cannot chemo-mechanical preparation. Chitosan do form any such show tubules. Hence, can used as a flushing irrigant.

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to determine the decalcifying efficacy of 7% maleic acid (MA), 2% chlorhexidine (CHX), and combinations of 7% MA + 0.2% cetrimide (CTR) and 2% CHX + 0.2% CTR, in four time periods. STUDY DESIGN Four specimens per tooth were obtained from a 2-mm thick slice of the cervical third of the root of ten human incisors. At 1, 2, 3 and 5 minutes of immersion, the co...
متن کاملEffect of endodontic irrigating solutions on the microhardness and roughness of root canal dentin: an in vitro study.
CONTEXT To evaluate the effect of widely used endodontic irrigating solutions on root dentin microhardness and surface roughness. MATERIALS AND METHODS One hundred twenty, non-carious extracted human permanent incisor teeth were selected. The crowns of the teeth were sectioned and the roots were separated longitudinally to get 240 specimens. These specimens were then divided into six groups a...

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate, by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the effects of Nd:YAG laser irradiation applied perpendicular or parallel to the root canal dentin wall. METHODS Thirty human teeth were divided into two groups: Group A (20 roots), laser application with circular movements, parallel to the dentin root surface; and Group B (10 roots), roots cut longitu...
